Doug grew up in Milton, graduating from Milton High School in 1972 and Pensacola Jr. College in 1977 with an A.A. in Music/Voice. He finished his graduate work at Christian Life School of Theology (affiliated with Beacon University in Columbus, GA) in 1998 with an M.Th. From 1977 to 1984, Doug traveled with his guitar doing concert outreach in colleges, prisons and a wide variety of youth and community events. He was part of the original group that started this church in 1979, and then officially became Senior Pastor in 1984.
After dating for two and a half years, he married his high school sweetheart, Chris, in 1973. They have four daughters, three sons-in-law and three grand-children.
Doug loves music, sailing, walking, friends and family, but his greatest passion is in helping others come into a growing relationship with Christ.
