Group Life
Group Life
At Christian Life one of our core values says that “anointed teaching and spiritually gifted ministry provides the catalyst and atmosphere for transformation, however, life change happens best in ‘spiritual friendships.’” With that in mind, one of the best ways to promote healthy spiritual friendships is through participation in one or more of our Group Life opportunities. Among our Group Life opportunities are Newcomers’ Night Out, Small Groups, various Classes and Clubs, and all of our Ministry Teams.
Listed below are our current offerings:
“Newcomers’ Night Out” is another opportunity to get acquainted with CLC’s uniqueness, purpose and core values. “Newcomers’ Night Out” also gives us an opportunity to get acquainted with you. This is what Sr. Pastor Doug Holmes loves most about this event. Even if you don’t consider yourself a “Newcomer” but just haven’t taken a step past attending our events, this is for you! Sign up (helps us prepare) or just walk in…either way -just come.
Ministry Teams – If you’d like to learn more about becoming involved with one of our teams, please feel free to call Pastor Ed at (850) 623-4017.
Small Groups are smaller gatherings that generally focus on topical issues that meet at both the church and in people’s homes where it’s easier to get to know people and share in the ups and downs of each other’s lives.
TIME: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
John & Diane Miller – Christian, It’s Not What You Think: According to Andy Stanley, the words used to describe Christians today often bear no resemblance to how Jesus wanted his followers to live. In Christian…, an eight-session, video-based study, Andy offers a better term – one that Jesus used throughout the New Testament to describe Christians – that more accurately depicts Christians. Then he leads you through what Christianity should look like today in light of Jesus’ teachings.
Gary & Jo Fiester – Join us for a transformative small group Bible study where we’ll explore a mix of essential topics centered on life, healing, and spiritual warfare. Titled “Whole-hearted: Healthcare & Healing For Your Soul,” this study is designed to help you strengthen your spirit, mend your heart, and equip yourself for the battles of life. Through scripture, shared experiences, and guided discussions, we’ll delve into what it means to live a life of spiritual wholeness and find healing for your soul. Whether you’re seeking peace, strength, or a deeper connection with God, this study is for you.
Sid & Kaye Bunch with Assistant Leaders Luke & Brittany McCoy – will be focusing on the next season of “The Chosen” which is a captivating video series depicting the life of Jesus Christ through a fresh lens. Exploring the lives of those he encountered, the series and bible study look into the struggles, hopes, and transformations of characters like Simon Peter and Mary Magdalene. Rich in historical detail, it humanizes Jesus and his followers, bringing his teachings and miracles to life. “The Chosen” invites viewers to experience the profound impact of Jesus’ ministry, fostering a deeper connection to the timeless message of love, redemption, purpose, and grace.
Dean & Ginny Hinton – This Study entitled “Proving Jesus” is designed to delve into the historical aspects of Jesus Christ’s life and teachings, while also addressing common challenges and criticisms posed by skeptics. This study aims to equip participants with a deeper understanding of the historical Jesus and provide solid apologetic responses to various objections. It draws heavily from the books “Killing Jesus”, “Studying the Historical Jesus” and “Jesus Under Fire”.
Thursday Morning – 11am at the Church –
Don & Cheryl Little will also be focusing on “The Chosen” which is a captivating video series depicting the life of Jesus Christ through a fresh lens.
Bible Studies and Classes are normally scheduled to begin in early spring and fall. While some classes are topically-specific, there are also classes that will focus on individual books of the Bible. Class and Bible Study times, along with location info, will be listed in the bulletin and on our website.
Clubs are where you can meet new people with similar interests in an “unchurchy” environment for the purpose of advancing your knowledge or just to have fun and connect with others.

Children’s Ministry
“JC’s Place” – Children’s Church
JC’s Place is Christian Life’s ministry for children in grades Pre-K through 5th grade and is where your child will want to come and learn about God in a fun way!
At JC’s Place our goal is to join with you, the parent, to help your child understand who Jesus is and begin the process of developing a faith in Christ that will last a lifetime. It is also a place where we strive to provide a safe environment for each child, providing parents the assurance that their child is being well cared for during both of our services.
A nursery for infants and a fun place for toddlers are also available for both Sunday services.
Service times are Sunday at 9:00 am and 11:00 am!
