MEET THE STAFF
Doug Holmes
Senior Pastor
Doug grew up in Milton, graduating from Milton High School in 1972 and Pensacola Jr. College in 1977 with an A.A. in Music/Voice. He finished his graduate work at Christian Life School of Theology (affiliated with Beacon University in Columbus, GA) in 1998 with an M.Th. From 1977 to 1984, Doug traveled with his guitar doing concert outreach in colleges, prisons and a wide variety of youth and community events. He was part of the original group that started this church in 1979, and then officially became Senior Pastor in 1984.
After dating for two and a half years, he married his high school sweetheart, Chris, in 1973. They have four daughters, four sons-in-law, and ten grandchildren.
Doug loves music, sailing, walking, friends, and family, but his greatest passion is in helping others come into a growing relationship with Christ.
Ed Leber
Executive Pastor
Ed is a native of the Milton area. He met and became close friends with Senior Pastor, Doug Holmes in Mr. Vaughn’s 3rd grade class at East Milton Elementary School. He is married to his first love, the former Becky Murphy of Bagdad, Florida. He has three wonderful children and six (even more wonderful) grandchildren.
While Ed attended church regularly as a child, he made a life changing commitment to Christ in 1988 and began serving at CLC in several ministry roles including serving as a children’s church volunteer, sound technician, finance board member and vice president of CLC’s Board of Trustees.
Ed’s administrative background was gained through years of small business management, as well as management experience in in the insurance industry. His duties as Executive Pastor are as varied as his ministry experience, but he has the primary responsibility of day-to-day church operations, personnel oversight, finance, ministry processes and new ministry development.
Becky Leber
Administrative Assistant
Becky Leber has been the administrative assistant to Pastor Doug since May 1990. She is a “superwoman” and is married to Pastor Ed Leber.
Kara Kneeppel
Secretary & Receptionist
Kara, a Milton native, joined the CLC staff in March of 2021. She has been married to her husband, Ira, for 20 years and they have three kids.
After moving back to the area in 2019, when her husband retired from the military, she has been actively involved in several ministries at Liberty Church, Milton campus.
Fun Facts: Kara loves reading, cooking, traveling, and watching her kids’ sports and other activities.
Lindy Brown
Secretary & Media
Lindy joined our staff in 2021. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English (writing/communications) and minored in art (graphic design). After graduating from UWF, Lindy worked as an artist and freelance writer for natural health and fitness websites. Along with posting CLC’s weekly social media updates, Lindy teaches English and coaches high school students!
Gayla Moudry
Financial Secretary
Gayla joined our staff as a bookkeeper in September 2000. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in February 1996. She and her husband, Skip, have been members of Christian Life Church since moving to Milton in 1996.
Her favorite foods are Mexican and chocolate!
